These terms govern your use of the LocalConvert application and the localconvert.dehdi.com website (together, "LocalConvert"). By installing or using LocalConvert you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

1. Who we are

LocalConvert is provided by Dehdi ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@dehdi.com.

2. What you are licensed to do

Buying LocalConvert Pro grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Pro features of the application. The licence is not a sale of the software itself.

You may install and use the application on the devices you personally use. You may not resell it, rent it, redistribute it, or share your licence with others. The application's source code is not licensed to you by these terms; the third-party components it includes are governed by their own licences (see section 7).

3. What Pro unlocks

Pro is a one-time unlock. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. The current Pro features are listed at localconvert.dehdi.com; we may add to them, but we do not remove a feature you have paid for without offering an equivalent.

The free version of the application remains usable without payment, within the limits described on our site.

4. Payment

Purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle handles the transaction, applicable taxes, and the payment receipt. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. We never see or store your card details.

5. Delivery

After a completed purchase we email you a licence file. You unlock Pro by importing that file from the application's Pro screen. The licence is verified on your own device, so it continues to work offline and does not require an account or a connection to us.

If you do not receive your licence, contact contact@dehdi.com and we will re-send it.

6. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

7. Third-party components

LocalConvert includes third-party software, including FFmpeg, distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1. The notices and the written offer of corresponding source code are bundled with the installer as THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, and you can request that source at contact@dehdi.com.

8. Acceptable use

You are responsible for the files you convert and for having the right to use them. Do not use LocalConvert to infringe anyone's rights or to break the law.

9. No warranty

LocalConvert is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Conversion is best-effort: some formats, fonts and documents cannot be reproduced perfectly, and you should keep your original files. The application never modifies or deletes your source files as part of a conversion.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost or corrupted data, arising from your use of LocalConvert. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The version that applies to your use is the one published on this page when you use the application, and material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer under the law of your own country of residence.
